Surrey Caricature Artist for hire
Hi, I’m Dave the creative force behind Groves Caricatures. Since 2012, I’ve captured over 65,000 faces, bringing “Fab, Fast, and Fun” entertainment to high-profile events across Surrey.
As an expert walkabout caricature artist, I specialize in “creative mayhem”—mingling with your guests to spark laughter and genuine connection. Whether I’m table-hopping at a Surrey wedding, entertaining at a corporate awards night, or adding a buzz to a 50th birthday blast, my live sketches are a guaranteed conversation piece.
From Guildford and Woking to Epsom and Farnham, I move through the crowd capturing convincing, funny faces in minutes. No event is too big or too small and entertainment for all ages.

Surrey Legends: Celebrating Sir Michael Caine
Surrey is proud to claim film icon Sir Michael Caine as one of our own. A long-time Leatherhead resident, this legendary actor and author has personified “British Cool” across more than 115 films—from his breakout role in the epic Zulu to his iconic Hollywood blockbusters.
Beyond the famous cockney accent and the private home cinema, Sir Michael surprised fans on Desert Island Discs with his “hip” taste in music, choosing tracks by Coldplay and Elbow. To celebrate this local treasure reaching his 90th birthday, I couldn’t resist picking up the pen.
This tribute caricature captures the unmistakable character of a man who, as he famously (almost) said, “not a lot of people know” is a true Surrey local. Just as I’ve captured thousands of faces at weddings and events across the county, it’s a privilege to draw a legend from my own backyard.
“It’s a brilliant drawing—not a lot of people know that!”
