Gareth Southgate Caricature
Crawley has deep connections to the world of sport, but perhaps none are as celebrated as England Football Manager Gareth Southgate. From his days at Pound Hill Junior School and Hazelwick School to leading the national team, Southgate is a true hometown hero. He has often spoken about how the town’s passionate PE teachers set him on his path to success.
I couldn’t miss the chance to draw this Gareth Southgate Caricature. It’s a tribute to the Crawley defender who handled pressure with calm professionalism—though I, like many, still vividly remember that Euro ’96 penalty miss! From his impeccable tailored style to those unforgettable TV adverts, he is a ‘Triffic’ character and a proud part of Crawley’s heritage.
