Addington Palace: Hollywood Glamour in Croydon
Addington Palace is a jewel of Croydon, a Georgian mansion steeped in Royal history and high ceilings. Having caricatured at many Asian weddings in its grand Pavilion, I’m always struck by the venue’s “A-list” energy. It’s a true film star, hosting everyone from the Queen to Kate Moss.
In 2015, the Palace went Hollywood when Brad Pitt filmed War Machine on-site. Inspired by his local visit, I created this Brad Pitt caricature. Whether he’s the shredded Tyler Durden in Fight Club or the “incomprehensible” Mickey in Snatch, Brad is a legendary character to draw.
